I grew up going to church and being involved in Sunday school, Awana, and Bible study. I became a Christian at a young age, so I don't remember much about my life before Christ. 

Because of people God put in my life, I was able to learn about the gospel from them and I began to understand it for myself. I felt the gravity of my sin and learned that Jesus was the only one who could save me from it. One night I was thinking about the gospel and my life. It became so clear to me that I needed to ask Jesus to forgive me, and I prayed for him to do so. 

Since becoming a Christian, I've tried to follow him and continue to grow my relationship with him. Over the years, I've examined and struggled with aspects of my faith and grew closer to God in the process. 

Recently I've felt more and more convicted to finally get baptized. In my Bible study this year, I've been reading Matthew. A recurring message is listening to God's voice and hearing that has solidified my decision to take this next step so that I can follow his commands. I'm so excited to see what he has next for my life.
